Gili Air
Gili Air is the smallest and nearest of the three Gilis (Gili means small island) located at the northwestern tip of Lombok, Indonesia. They are idyllic atolls with powdery white sand and sparkling turquoise water where you can see sea turtles a few metters from the beach.
What makes the Gilis unique is that no motorised transport is allowed on the islands, only bicycles or Cidomos (small horse and cart), a quietness which is popular with honeymoon couples and travelers seeking a quiet retreat.
The main activities on Gili Air are snorkeling and diving. Just jump in the water to see colourful fishes and coral reef.
